Located in the walkable downtown core of Denton, Texas, this renovation and addition transformed a familiar local building into the new headquarters for Eagle Surveying. The project reimagines an overlooked property as a modern workplace while respecting the character and history of the site.

The design preserves the existing midcentury structure and its distinctive sloped roof while introducing a contemporary addition that draws from the proportions, materials, and rhythm of the adjacent historic building. Rather than compete with what was already there, the new work reinforces the architectural language of the site, creating a seamless dialogue between old and new.

Working closely with the client, MKOA Studio provided both architecture and interior design services, coordinating every aspect of the workplace experience. Custom millwork, lighting, finishes, furnishings, branding, and signage were thoughtfully integrated to create an office that reflects the company's identity while supporting collaboration, productivity, and future growth. The result is a carefully executed adaptive reuse project that preserves a piece of Denton's built fabric while giving it renewed purpose for the next generation.
