Wise Area Relief Mission

Conceived as more than a food pantry, this community centered facility reimagines the experience of receiving support through architecture rooted in dignity, welcome, and care. The design transforms a daily necessity into an environment that reflects the mission of the organization it serves.

This community space reflects the idea that a grocery store experience should prioritize comfort and choice over convention. Natural light mixes with warm materials to give neighbors a peaceful place to gather and engage with one another while completing an essential task. The interior spaces support multiple functions by integrating flexibility in design choices. The exterior serves as a third space for the local community by providing a place with shade and green space to retreat from the hustle and bustle of nearby areas.
